Introducing the Meh Dai

Over the last week I have been introducing my social media followers to the meh dai.  For your ease of learning, I have combined all the information from those posts in one place for you!

The meh dai is a style of carrier which has its origins in China.  This carrier is generally made from woven wrap fabric, but to simplify the tying process, it has a back panel already formed for you, and you simply tie the waist band and shoulder straps in place.

A meh dai gives all the luxury and comfort of a woven wrap, combined with the ease of a soft structured carrier.   Because it has no buckles there are far more variations on the way your  can support your child with this carrier, though they can come in a half buckle variation, with either a buckle or rings to fasten the waist band.

Back carrying, front carrying and hip carrying are all possible with this convenient carrying option.

You can cinch the panel for newborns, or use the wrap straps to reinforce the seat for more support to carry a toddler!

Whether you are a babywearing novice, or a skilled wrapper, you will love carrying with a meh dai.

In my carrier library I have three different brands of meh dai, with a combination of padded shoulder straps and wrap straps.  So if you would like to try one out, just get in touch to organise a consultation.  I can bring along my meh dai for you to try out, and I can show you all the tips and tricks of how to use them at the same time.
